o What did you like and dislike about online teaching?

I enjoyed the interaction with my peers and colleagues when completing this section of the work. It allowed for good communication and feedback on possible changes we can make as developing teachers to always improve methods. The only factor I did not enjoy was the fact you have to be visible online this is due to you also being able to see yourself when teaching which puts you concentration on that instead of the content you are teaching.

o What new skills did you learn through this experience?

New skills I developed when completing this online teaching experience were how to create small video clips to introduce topics to the class and use Google tools to allow students to engage in the classroom despite not being face to face.

o What would you do differently?

The only thing I would do differently in this lesson or experience is to have more engagement tools and to allow for the students to interact together instead of just Quizzies (Like a Kahoot).

o Did you choose appropriate tools to teach your online lesson, explain why?

Yes, I believe I chose the appropriate tools for online teaching, due to making use of Quizzies and video editors to allow for a more engaging lesson and also a different manner to teach the content instead of just listening to a teacher speak the content.

o How has this experience developed you for teaching in a school?

This experience assisted in daily teaching as it assisted in developing new skills to allow for us as teaches to think outside the box in order to develop new ways to provide and showcase the content or information to the students. This will also get the students to be more engaged in the lessons.

The student reflected well in this post. The student acknowledges areas of improvement and gives insight on his overall experience on teaching on an online platform. The student gained new skills from this experience and has developed well as a fresh, new teacher that is ready to take on anything. Well Done, Cal! -Shauneez :)

Your microteaching was a very good lesson. Your presentations were good and you engaged well. Looking at your reflection, I can see that you have taken into consideration that you could use other platforms like Kahoot to test the understanding of the lesson which is a good thing to expose yourself to different online tools. And it is good to see that you want to engage learners more which this microteaching has helped you with
